Course: Drawing from Life

Everyone can draw!

What to Expect

These Drawing workshops are open to any level. We will look at observational drawing skills and get confident to draw what we see. Each week we focus on a different aspect of drawing such as line, tone, texture and perspective using still life scenes, models, and ending with a ‘big draw’ in our final session.

Join us every week to build your confidence, and not be afraid to draw. Even if you’ve never picked up a pencil, or it’s been years - everyone is welcome and everyone can draw!

❋ Week 1 — Botanics

Week 1 will focus on drawing from ‘looking’ and touch on the basics such as line and shape working from a botanical scene.

❋ Week 2 — Fruits / Glass

Week 2 will build on skills with tone and texture, working from a new still life scene.

❋ Week 3 — Nude model

Week 3 we look at the figure and perspective, drawing from a nude life model.

❋ Week 4 — Clothed model in still life scene

Week 4 is the big draw! We work on a larger drawing, working from a model in a still life scene using everything we’ve learnt.

‘’In our daily lives, we have forgotten what it feels like to put pencil on paper. We are less confident about showing the world what we see, and what our lines look like. I truly bliebe that the more confident we are to draw, the more we are in touch with ourselves and can truly understand the world around us.’’
